Giddy up, space cadets, a galactic showdown is coming to the Lynden Skateway! On Saturday, November 8, the Bellingham Roller Betties are presenting a double header.
In the first bout of the evening at 5:30pm, the Bellingham All-Stars take on Marysville’s Strawberry City. The BRB All Star team is made up of the most experienced skaters in the league. Skaters try out for a spot on the All-Stars travel team roster several times a year and they represent the Bellingham Roller Betties in national and international games and tournaments throughout the year.
Then at 7:30pm, the hijinks begin! The second bout of the night is a fundraising bout like no other: Cowboys vs. Aliens! On one side, the Wild West’s toughest posse, with spurs, hats, and a grit that won’t quit. On the other, a team of cosmic cruisers from beyond the stars, bringing futuristic flair and out-of-this-world moves. Watch as these two worlds collide in an evening of high-speed hits, electrifying jams, and interstellar action, all to support our local derby league. This isn’t just a roller derby bout—it’s a cosmic clash for the ages and the audience can pay to change the rules. Will the space invaders abduct the points, or will the cowboys rope in the victory?
Costumes encouraged!
This season, all bouts will be played at Lynden Skateway (421 Judson St, Lynden). Free parking is available in the parking lot. Skateway concessions will be open selling chips, candy, soda, etc. There will also be a 21+ trackside Beer Garden.
There will be a merch table to pick up all your Betties and home team swag, and often our visiting teams have items for sale!
