DESCRIPTION:Have you ever considered learning to play roller derby? Now’s your chance – no skating experience required! \nOur 6-week Booty Camp training session will teach you all the basics of form and execution when you’re skating\, stopping or even falling. \nWhether you’re planning on playing roller derby\, reffing or just want to improve your skating skills\, our Booty Camp offers a safe\, structured and fun environment for learning. \n  \nHere’s what you need to know: \nDates: \nSeptember 11\, 2022 4:15-7:15 pm \nSeptember 18\, 2022 4:15-7:15 pm \nSeptember 25\, 2022 4:15-7:15 pm \nOctober 2\, 2022 4:15-7:15 pm \nOctober 9\, 2022 4:15-7:15 pm \nOctober 16\, 2022 4:15-7:15 pm \n  \nCost: \nBooty Camp – $80 \nIf you do not have your own skates you can rent from the Lynden Skateway for $3 per session. \n  \nRequired Gear: \nFor the first day of booty camp: Skates\, helmet\, and knee pads required  \nFor the second day on: All gear (skates\, helmet\, wrist guards\, elbow pads\, knee pads\, and mouth guard required) \n  \nIf you don’t have your own safety gear\, we will have a limited selection for folks to borrow\, but we recommend heading over to Unknown Boardshop downtown and grabbing your own.  \nWe have a Gear Day at Unknown on August 27th from 2:00-4:00PM.  \n  \nCOVID-19 Safety Protocols: \nThe Bellingham Roller Betties require that all participants be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to participate in Booty Camp and future practices. You will be required to show proof of vaccination at your first Booty Camp session. Masks will also be required at all sessions.
