SUMMARY:Season 17 Debut Bout
DESCRIPTION:The Bellingham Roller Betties start Season 17 with a pre-season Double Header on Saturday\, February 8th at 5:30 PM at Lynden Skateway (421 Judson St.\, Lynden\, WA 98264). Doors open at 5:00 PM to give you time to grab merch\, buy concessions\, and find your seat. \nWe will kick off the evening with the annual Red Riot vs. Black Death roller derby bout featuring the Bellingham Roller Betties Freshie skaters. Skaters in this bout completed Booty Camp last fall and have been training hard to prepare for their first public game. The rosters will be completed with some of the BRBs veteran skaters and coached by seasoned veterans who’ve been training the new skaters since booty camp. \nImmediately following\, the Bellingham Roller Betties All-Stars will battle it out against Terminal City Roller Derby out of Vancouver\, BC. The BRB All Star team is made up of the most experienced skaters in the league. Skaters try out for a spot on the all star roster several times a year and represent the Bellingham Roller Betties in national and international games and tournaments throughout the year. \nThe Bellingham Roller Betties have a Merchandise Booth and Beer & Wine Garden along with the Lynden Skateway’s regular concessions. There are both 21+ and Family Seating options in the stands.\nOnce again\, doors open at 5:00 PM and the first bout starts at 5:30 PM. \nTickets for this event:\nADVANCED: $20 for adults (16+)\, $9 for kids ages 8-15 and free for kids 7 and under.

It’s a collision of determination\, grit\, and sheer determination as these athletes leave it all on the track in pursuit of glory. Who will be victorious this year\, The Cog Blockers or Season 15 champs F.L.A.S.H.? Will the superheroes defend their title? \nThe Betties partner with the Subdued City Rollers\, the junior derby league in Whatcom County\, to bring you a full day of derby! The junior’s bout starts earlier in the day with doors at 2:00 PM\, first whistle at 3:00 PM. A BRB season pass gets you entry into all bouts\, with our five Home Team double headers and a triple header featuring the junior Subdued City Rollers and the BRB’s Grit Pit and A-Level travel team\, the All-Stars\, for just $55! All bouts are at Whatcom Community College Pavilion Gym. \nThis year’s bout dates:\nSaturday\, March 2nd\nSaturday\, March 30th\nSaturday\, April 13th\nSaturday\, May 4th (Triple Header)\nSaturday\, May 18th (Semi-finals)\nSaturday\, June 22nd (Championship Bout) \nAll bouts open for entry at 4:00 pm. The first bout\, a BRB Home Team vs. an Away team\, starts at 5:00. The second bout\, two BRB Home Teams competing for the league title\, will start around 7:00\, after a half time show. \nThe WCC Pavilion will feature concessions\, merchandise\, and a Beer Garden for 21+. DESCRIPTION:The Bellingham Roller Betties start Season 16 with a pre-season Double Header on Saturday\, February 3rd at 5:30 PM at Lynden Skateway (421 Judson St.\, Lynden\, WA 98264). \nWe will kick off the evening with the annual Red Riot vs. Black Death roller derby bout featuring the Bellingham Roller Betties Freshie skaters. Skaters in this bout completed Booty Camp last fall and have been training hard to prepare for their first public game. The rosters will be completed with some of the BRBs veteran skaters and coached by seasoned veterans who’ve been training the new skaters since booty camp. \nImmediately following\, the Bellingham Roller Betties All-Stars will battle it out against NWO Roller Derby out of Chilliwack\, BC. The BRB All Star team is made up of the most experienced skaters in the league. Skaters try out for a spot on the all star roster several times a year and represent the Bellingham Roller Betties in national and international games and tournaments throughout the year. \nThe Bellingham Roller Betties have a Merchandise Booth and Beer & Wine Garden along with the Lynden Skateway’s regular concessions. Then in the second bout of the night\, Tough Love will play Team F.L.A.S.H. \nThe home season bouts are played at the Whatcom Community College Pavilion (241 W. Kellogg Rd.). Free parking is available in the parking lot located on Eliza Avenue\, just south of W. Kellogg Rd.
