DESCRIPTION:Season 17 is wrapping up and the Bellingham Roller Betties are excited to invite you to Championships on Saturday\, June 28 at Whatcom Community College. \nFirst whistle at 5:30 pm starts the face off between Season 17’s third place home team\, Cog Blockers\, competing against Whidbey Island Roller Derby. In the championship bout at 7:30pm\, powerhouse BRB home teams F.L.A.S.H. and Tough Love will battle it out on the track\, pushing the limits of speed\, skill\, and strategy to claim the ultimate trophy. It’s a collision of determination\, grit\, and sheer determination as these athletes leave it all on the track in pursuit of glory. Who will be victorious this year\, Tough Love or Season 16 champs F.L.A.S.H.? Will the superheroes defend their title? \nThe Championship bout is played at the Whatcom Community College Pavilion (241 W. Kellogg Rd.). Free parking is available in the parking lot located on Eliza Avenue\, just south of W. Kellogg Rd. We have a concessions stand selling chips\, candy and soda. The 21+ Beer Garden is serving Boundary Bay beer and Lost Giants Cider trackside. \nThere will be a merch booth to pick up all your Betties and home team swag\, and often our visiting teams have items for sale as well. DESCRIPTION:Giddy up\, space cadets\, a galactic showdown is coming to the Lynden Skateway! On Saturday\, November 8\, the Bellingham Roller Betties are presenting a double header.\n\n\nIn the first bout of the evening at 5:30pm\, the Bellingham All-Stars take on Marysville’s Strawberry City. The BRB All Star team is made up of the most experienced skaters in the league. Skaters try out for a spot on the All-Stars travel team roster several times a year and they represent the Bellingham Roller Betties in national and international games and tournaments throughout the year.\n\n\nThen at 7:30pm\, the hijinks begin! The second bout of the night is a fundraising bout like no other: Cowboys vs. Aliens! On one side\, the Wild West’s toughest posse\, with spurs\, hats\, and a grit that won’t quit. On the other\, a team of cosmic cruisers from beyond the stars\, bringing futuristic flair and out-of-this-world moves. Watch as these two worlds collide in an evening of high-speed hits\, electrifying jams\, and interstellar action\, all to support our local derby league. This isn’t just a roller derby bout—it’s a cosmic clash for the ages and the audience can pay to change the rules. Will the space invaders abduct the points\, or will the cowboys rope in the victory?\n\n\nCostumes encouraged!\n\n\nThis season\, all bouts will be played at Lynden Skateway (421 Judson St\, Lynden). Free parking is available in the parking lot.
